ISSAS - The Choice of Shell,BP, SPC...

ISSAS (Integrated Service Station Automation System) was developed because of an identified need - to improve the accounting and operational efficiency of service stations.
Crossecom tackled the problem from its basics, analysing the manual system then used in service stations, and adapting it to computerisation. At the same time the company's research and development staff started on the development of ground-breaking point-of-sale systems technology.
In 1985 the company completed the initial development of a complete service station system. This system included a fully integrated point-of-sale with wet and dry stock control and accounting, and the option of central price file maintenance and electronic mail.
ISSAS set a new benchmark in computerised service station management and accounting systems - a leadership that has been maintained to the present day. The installation of ISSAS throughout Australia began in 1986. In 1990 the first systems were installed in South East Asia, in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
Some of the world's biggest companies were to quickly recognise the efficiency and effectiveness of ISSAS.
Today in Singapore, ISSAS is installed at all Shell Eastern Petroleum sites and all Singapore Petroleum retail fuel sites.
In Malaysia, BHPetrol Malaysia use the ISSAS retail automation technology.
